~~The first Anime convention I ever went to, and one of the biggest in the United States.~~

~~Due to all the posts I see for "SoCal Meetups" on the Robotech.com message boards, I felt it was time for a meetup for the people who live in the midwestern United States.~~

SoCal, Midwest... no love for Macross Is- er, Hawaii?

Okay, I'd be willing to show up to attenc AC08, but I'm kinda stuck in the middle of the Pacific Ocean... not quite the South Pacific, and not quite on Macross Island, but I am military, so it counts for something :P

That said, are there any guys that are also stuck in the wonderful island paradise of Hawaii? I'm hoping I'm not the only protoculture addict that'll be attending Kawaii-Kon '08... I'm not counting the VAs for Macross, since that's something (almost) totally different :P

But, I am going in as one of the unsung heroes of the Macross Saga: your generic aviation mechanic! Them AMs and ATs need a bit of love, ya know!
